Director & Lead Consultant

Johnson Mbugua is a Swiss-trained chef and hospitality professional with a Master’s in Hospitality Management. As the Director and Lead Consultant at JNSN Hospitality Partners, he works with restaurants, cafés, and hotels across Kenya to build efficient systems, enhance profitability, and elevate guest experiences.

Before founding JNSN, Johnson established and successfully operated Moov Café & Bistro, a Nairobi-based creative hub that became one of the city’s most loved hospitality brands. He also served as Head of Marketing & Enrollment at Boma International Hospitality College, where he led student recruitment growth, strengthened the college’s market presence, and lectured in key hospitality management & culinary classrooms— nurturing the next generation of industry professionals. His hands-on leadership and proven turnaround strategies have since guided the growth of notable outlets including Koa Lamu, Wrapped Foods, Nairobi, La Fattoria Resort in Mombasa, and The Twisted Fig, Kilifi, to name a few.

Driven by a deep passion for empowering people and transforming operations from the inside out, Johnson combines creativity, structure, and insight to deliver lasting results. His philosophy is simple: empowering hospitality, transforming lives.

Hellen Akoth brings international experience across Kenya, Malaysia, and Rwanda to the world of hospitality. A rapid industry riser, she has transformed restaurant operations, empowered teams, and created exceptional guest experiences in hospitality establishments.

Rising quickly from service personnel to restaurant manager, Hellen delivered significant operational improvements through effective team leadership and event management. She has led training programs that instill consistency and excellence and contributed to international events, including the World Trade Center Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.

Hellen holds a First-Class Degree in International Hospitality Management and a Diploma in Hotel Management. She believes leadership is about leading by example, empowering teams, and creating memorable experiences for every guest.

Kenyalyn is a highly skilled culinary professional specializing as a Private Chef and Sommelier, offering clients a complete, refined dining experience. Drawing on a Le Cordon Bleu Diploma and intensive fine dining training in South Africa and Kenya, she excels at bespoke menu creation and precise execution.

Her comprehensive service foundation is strengthened by a Dual Diploma in Hotel Management and diverse work experience across Kenya and the USA. As a WSET Level 2 certified Sommelier, Kenyalyn seamlessly curates expert wine pairings, an expertise showcased by her participation in the prestigious 2024 World Wine Tasting Championships in Bordeaux, France, as a Team Wine Kenya contestant. This unique combination highlights exceptional client management, logistics, and a holistic commitment to global hospitality standards.
